The films of Paul Verhoeven

Me gustan todas.

The Matrix (1999) vs Ghost in the Shell (1995)
I only saw by myself the Trinity/Kusanagi paralellism (the voice in Spanish editions in the same!) and the coding & watermelon things, but there are a lot more (here and there) totally intended and admitted.
The beauty of this is that GITS references Blade Runner and The Matrix too, so The Matrix has direct and indirect references to BR.
And even more: both BR and The Matrix references Vertigo, which is other of my fav films, so everything is so wonderful that my heart explodes :)

Hunter doesn’t age, another vampire as Reeves or Leto xD

Not just that! They make perfect sense as mother and daughter, or, better, sisters.
